For each Agile Success Metric, Charts plot your team’s performance over multiple iterations so you can more easily understand your agile delivery performance and observe how it changes over time.

Charts provide a powerful graphical representation of the patterns that relate to each measure, creating awareness of whether the trajectory that your team is as expected or not.

The unit of measurement for each metric is displayed vertically on the Y axis.

Iteration names are displayed horizontally across the X-axis, in chronological order with the most recent/in-progress iteration on the right.

Select an iteration to display the Score Value and associated features in the Surfacing Table below the chart.

Plot Line

The solid plot line represents your team’s score for that iteration. Read more about how each of Umano’s Agile Success Metrics is calculated.

The plot line transitions into a heavy dotted line for the iteration In Progress, where the score represents all activity from the iteration start date until the prior day, noting that scores are calculated and updated daily.

Rolling Performance

The light dotted line underneath the plot line tracks your Rolling Performance - an indication of how your team usually performs for this metric. The rolling Performance is calculated as the rolling median of the last 6 iterations for the metric you are viewing.

Umano visualises your Rolling Performance to help you more quickly understand whether your team’s iteration performance is above or below your usual rate of performance.

The shaded section of the Rolling Performance variable visualises the range of deviation for the team’s performance.

The wider the shaded area, the more variable and usually less repeatable the practice. The narrower and more consistent the shaded area appears over time usually indicating more mature, repeatable team practices.

Switch your Rolling Performance on/off using the toggle switch at the base of the chart.

View different charts by selecting the Agile Success Metrics from the drop-down catalogue, or from your Performance Summary.
