Instructions
To create your Umano account, follow these steps.
Navigate to Umano’s sign up page.
Type in your first name and email address - we’ll contact you at this email address so you can set your password.
Choose a URL for your workspace (for example, nasa.umano.tech) - this is where you and your team will access your workspace.
Click Get Started
Umano builds your workspace
Clicking Get Started in the last step of your instructions will automate the creation of your personalised workspace, a dedicated environment hosted on AWS with the benefit of storing your team’s Umano data separately from all other customers.
Building your workspace takes approximately 2 minutes.
You’ll receive an email from us notifying you when this is complete and inviting you to set a password for future access to your workspace.
Prepare to Connect Your Tools
While your workspace is being built, fetch a unique API Token via the Atlassian’s API Tokens Management page to provide Umano access to your JIRA and Confluence instances.
We also provide a simple three step tutorial with more detailed instructions on how to do this.
Keep your token in a temporary place (e.g. any text editor) as you’ll need it as soon as you log in for the first time.
Email invitation to continue setting up your account
While you are fetching your Atlassian API Token, you should receive an email informing you that your workspace is ready and inviting you to continue setting up your account by adding your tools and creating your first project space.
If you haven’t fetched them already, you’ll need your Atlassian Username and API Token to continue setting up your account.
Clicking Set up my account within our email to you will take you to a window to first set your password.
Choose and enter a password in the pop-up window to finish creating your account.
Click Continue to take you to the next set-up stage, connecting your tools.
Your account is created! You're ready to set up your account and connect your tools.
